Hirona Morihisa
Hirona Morihisa has an academic background in Kinesiology (BSc, Penn State University) and Sports Biomechanics (MSc, Loughborough University). Her master’s dissertation evaluated interindividual differences in running economy by comparing two shoe models. Hirona gained practical experience as an intern at a Japanese shoe-making company, where she explored biomechanics applications in footwear and developed a keen interest in wearable technology.
“I joined Delsys Europe as a client support engineer, bringing a background in biomechanics and practical experience in research. My academic journey began with a Bachelor’s in Kinesiology at Penn State, followed by an MSc in Sports Biomechanics at Loughborough University. I’ve previously worked as a Research Assistant in university, where I focused on data collection and validation using Markerless motion capture, furthering my interest in biomechanics and technology.
At Delsys, I’m excited to support clients using EMG and wearable technologies to explore human movement and improve performance, rehabilitation, and health outcomes. I look forward to helping clients across diverse fields apply these technologies in impactful and meaningful ways to their work.
Feel free to connect with me via email or reach out through LinkedIn or Calendly to discuss how I can support your projects.”
