Frequently Asked Questions

Ordering

What’s the process of me buying a Delsys System ?2021-03-18T00:23:55+00:00

Following discussions with our helpful sales team then you would have decided upon the optimal system configuration and accepted the quote. This is then usually passed onto your institutions administration department for processing, whereby a Purchase Order (PO) is raised and sent to us. You will then receive an order acknowledgment from our logistics team to confirm all the details associated with the order. As part of the order acknowledgement you will receive a shipment estimate.

Your institutions administration department may not raise a Purchase Order for the goods, therefore instead we would provide you with the invoice for the goods for payment ahead of shipment. However, there are variations of these processes and we are happy to work with your administration team on the most efficient path.

How long will it take to get my Delsys System ?2021-03-18T00:24:19+00:00

Delsys systems and components are typically manufactured to order, meaning that you get equipment that is ‘fresh’ and not stored on shelves for months. We aim to deliver goods within 4-weeks following order acknowledgement, but remain flexible to work with user’s needs.

If you have specific timelines then please ensure to speak to us and we’ll be happy to work with you on a timely and agreeable solution.

How do you ship my Delsys System ?2023-02-08T09:39:07+00:00

We carefully pack your Delsys system and components in double-walled cardboard boxes and are surrounded by ample packing materials, all following the latest shipment and packaging guidelines. Your package will be identified and secured using Delsys Europe green tape.

We tend to ship our goods using FedEx across Europe and UPS within the UK, and always with expedited delivery services. You shall receive shipment notifications and the ability to track the progress of your shipment, where our logistics team monitors its progress at every step.

Do I have to pay any taxes when buying Delsys goods?2021-03-18T00:26:28+00:00

Value Added Tax (VAT) applies to more or less all goods and services that are bought and sold for use or consumption. The topic of VAT is often confusing and complex, but it doesn’t have to be for the purchase of your Delsys system and we are well experienced in helping users so please do contact us and ask for advise

Based within the European Union…
Delsys Europe is a UK registered company and therefore does not charge VAT to customers based in the European Union. Since January 2021 (post-brexit) Delsys goods are exported from the UK and imported into your country, where import VAT is payable. Import VAT is payable at your countries national rate (see here for details on your own countries VAT rates).

Before January 2021 (pre-brexit) VAT was still payable on goods at the same rate, but was accounted for in your institutions VAT return rather than paid at time of import. The overall cost and implication for VAT has not changed.

We send our goods using Delivered at Place (DAP) Incoterms 2020.

Based outside of the European Union…
Delsys Europe is a UK registered company and therefore does not charge VAT to customers based outside of the UK. Delsys goods are exported from the UK and imported into your country, where import VAT at your national VAT rate is payable.

We send our goods using Delivered at Place (DAP) Incoterms 2020.

Based within the UK…
As Delsys Europe is based within the UK we are required to charge 20% VAT on the supply of our goods. However, our goods are typically used within application areas that allow for VAT exemption and so you may not be due to pay the 20% VAT. We would advise you discuss with your administration department on the criteria for this.

Do I have to pay any other duties or associated costs when buying Delsys goods?2021-03-18T00:26:50+00:00

No, within Europe there are no import duties due to be paid on the Delsys goods. There are no other hidden costs, simply the cost of the goods as quoted and the allocation of the VAT.
